Increasing critical temperature on BPSCCO superconductors with addition of Al2O3

Abstract We have investigated the effect of addition Al 2 O 3 in manufacture BPSCCO superconductors using solid state reaction method. Precursors with consist Bi , PbO SrCO CaCO and CuO powders were ground mortar agate for h. The samples heated at 300°C 6 h to remove moisture powders, then again Then calculated 820°C 20 (1wt% 2wt%) added again. compacted a diameter 10 mm thickness sintered 850°C 30 characterizations carried out by Cryogenic Magnet determine superconductivity properties, SEM-EDX analyze morphology XRD phase formed. resistivity versus temperature results showed increase Tc . Sample 1wt% has onset 90 K zero 66 K, when sample 2wt% 94 73 K. formed looks less homogeneous, crystalline granules are melt-shaped, clumpy there porosity.
